Yip Yip Pattern - The weather here in Maine is very bad. The wind blew with snow this morning and by midday it was freezing and windy rain/snow. A good day to stay home (and give!)
Since they are talented, I thought I would show you the Yip Yips I got from my niece for Christmas. I think these little plates are cute and funny. I hope their parents showed them videos of the Yip Yips from the old Sesame Street show (they're on Youtube if you want to Google them). My favorite is the phone. I may have posted it here before. I love them! This pattern is easy to follow for those like me who aren't crafty (yet!) I've heard of some people making these for the whole family as a Christmas stocking substitute. I'm not sure I'm ready to go that far, but they sure are happy with a little nature.

I also filled the Yip Yips with small gifts, of course. Sewn hand towels (I can't believe I forgot to take pictures of them), my niece's car and my nephew's neighbor's bird. They were created by Susan B. Anderson and are called Simple Little Bird and Nest. I think they look great and they look great together.

I sent a few more handmade gifts this year. Shoes for my son, shopping bags for my daughter and daughter, clothes for all the kids, a Bankhead hat for my husband, and now I'm working on a sweater for of my little dog Gus.
