Glock 34 Competition Slide - "Synergy" -noun 1. The interaction of elements that, when combined, produce an overall effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements, contributions, etc.

I like Glocks. They have been my gun of choice since '93 when I bought a Glock 23 Gen 2. Since then I have owned several models in 9mm and .40S&W. Currently, with the 9mm resurgence, I carry a Glock 19 or Glock 43 as an EDC weapon. But when it comes to competing in a 3-gun match, the Glock 34 is my handgun of choice, as mentioned in my previous article, "Glock 34, Best for 3- Gun" For those of you who want to take your firearms performance to the next level, look no further than Agency Arms. Shortly after purchasing the Glock 34 Gen 4, I spoke to the mad scientists at Agency Arms about a possible change. Their level of artistry, performance and perfection has impressed me. Finally, I got an Agency Arms Glock 34.

Founded in January 2015, Agency Arms is considered a newcomer to the firearms market. However, you would never know if you handled or shot one of their highly modified Glocks. The innovations and stories of this LEO soldier and company are amazing. No part of the gun was overlooked when creating the Agency Arms Glock. In the following sections, I will share information about the main features of the Agency Arms Glock 34.

The factory Glock polymer frame has some positives about it and some negatives. The durability of the polymer is second to none, proven by decades of service in law enforcement and military applications. Up until the fourth generation Glock, the frames were all the same size. Now that the adjustable rear strap is built into the Gen 4 models, the user can adjust the fit to some degree. Agency Arms takes framing a few steps further. Glock introduced the finger grooves in the 3rd Gen, and despite the warm reception, it was decided to continue that design for the Gen 4 models. Arms Agency can, at the customer's request, mill in the finger grooves and added grip points, to make the shooter more powerful. adapt and work.

The trigger guard also went under the knife, rebuilt and drilled in all the right places. The material is removed from the bottom of the trigger guard, which helps the user to obtain the highest possible sale of the gun. The trigger guard is more open and flared for ease of use when wearing tactical gloves. Just above the trigger on the sides of the frame you will find the "straight cut". It's a type of polymer with a seam construction that allows downward pressure on the gun, helping to reduce muzzle pressure for faster gun tracking.

Agency Arms has three different gameplay modes, Field Battle, Hybrid Special and Urban Combat. I went with the Urban Combat film because it was the lightest model they made. The factory Glock 34 has a window cut into the top of the slide. However, Agency Arms opens up a lot more and takes more of the film's edges. The CNC machined cut 2 new light windows on the front sides also help to reduce the weight. One of my favorite changes to the movie is the addition of previous movies. I prefer to hit the Sight on the front of the slide, and I think Glock really needs to add it. Instead, Agency Arms answered the call with six new front teeth and a complete overhaul of the rear teeth. They have become known as DNA collectors because of their strong character as a cheesemaker.

To highlight the Urban Combat film, an unmodified Glock 34 frame (barrel side and recoil spring) tips the scale at 15.2 oz. The Agency Arms Glock 34 stock weighs just 12.4oz...with a Trijicon RMR on it! I had to prepare both before installing the RMR, but a healthy dose of Loctite and not so good that I couldn't take it off while writing. However, this comparison still shows the flexibility of the modified film. Doing a little math and subtracting the known weight of the RMR and mounting plate plus the weight of the MOS film, I have a savings of  3.4oz or 22% from the factory film. These weight reductions in no way compromise the performance or durability that have long characterized Glock pistols.

No competitive shot is complete without trigger action. Agency Arms has really gone with the "hand-raised" trigger assembly. This beautiful flat blade aluminum trigger is played with a low pull after a light break and feel. With minimal travel and quick reset, the shooter is back on target for quick follow-up shots and burst groups. Agency Arms can install the trigger on your Glock or send the assembly to you for installation. In any case, it is much better for the polymer factory. Check out Scott's article covering the Agency Arms trigger here.

Because of the rapid movement of the weapon, the trigger reset, and the aftershocks, something will be lost if the load is not adjusted. Agency Arms offers a nice magwell to help speed up mag changes. This isn't one of the worst deals ever seen on a racing gun. This magwell has a strong aluminum cutout to accommodate the shooter wearing it inside or outside the hip. It's a perfect balance between style and performance. Installation can be done indoors or outdoors and is available for 3rd and 4th generation Glocks.

Final Thoughts: As they say at Agency Arms, "Welcome, brother." This end of parts and manufacturing process creates a synergy unlike any modern handgun era. It is not easy to take a very strong shot and improve it. In my opinion, Agency Arms has really nailed the Glock. It's clear, simple, honest and accurate as hell. The finish in Ranger Green just finished this beautiful build for me. I had the opportunity to use this pistol late in the season for a 3-gun match and noticed an improvement in my timing and accuracy. I hope to spend more time racing this Glock 34 next spring. I have to go through another long snowy winter.

The Glock 34 Generation 5 in 9x19mm is the latest release in Glock's line of "extended" slide pistols. Although originally intended for competition, it has also found use in police and military units, who appreciate the superior shooting characteristics of the Glock 34 over other Glocks. Its release is interesting for the future of Glocks, however, as it is the only long-film model of the fifth generation.

The Glock 34 is a smaller version of Glock's first competitor, the Glock 17L. The Glock 17L packs a 6-inch barrel into a 9.5-inch long frame. Although it has seen some use on the competition circuit, it may be "too Glock" for many people, as the slide hangs nearly two inches from the end of the frame, thus causing the gun to be out of balance with the fleshy image.

The Glock 34 reduced this by more than half an inch,
